As Senior Counsel, Donald Moore’s practice focuses on structuring and handling sophisticated cross-border transactions. A seasoned attorney and business executive, Mr. Moore has extensive experience on not matters not only in the United States, but also the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, Iraq, Afghanistan, and in Asia in areas of defense & security, life support contracts, transportation-asset financing, and infrastructure development.
Mr. Moore has been the lead advisor on multi-billion dollar restructurings and liquidations involving aircraft and vessel financing, leases & sales, airport construction, transportation projects and port development, re-developments, and long-term concessions.
Previous to his collaboration with Akrivis and his independent practice and commercial projects, Mr. Moore was Senior Counsel at Miller & Canfield in Michigan, and before then Partner at Reed Smith in Dubai, and Holland & Knight in Abu Dhabi, and before then at Holland & Knight in Miami. His experience also includes working as in-house counsel at a major U.S. corporation.
In addition to his legal practice and commercial endeavors, Mr. Moore currently serves as Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of New York. He is also Adjunct Professor at the Michigan Law School’s International Transactions Clinic and the Faculty Advisor to the law school’s Society for Space Law and Law of the Sea.
